The Occupational Health and Safety Program was established within Osmancık Ömer Derindere Vocational School in 2013 and admitted its first students in the 2013–2014 academic year.
Admission Requirements
The student quota is 30.
Special Admission Conditions
There are no special admission requirements. Admission is based on YKS (Higher Education Institutions Examination) scores.
Program Profile
The primary goal of our program is to educate individuals who are knowledgeable about the concepts of safe personnel and safe work, which are essential for both the public and private sectors, and who are capable of conducting research and development activities when necessary.

Assessment and Evaluation
The final grade is determined by combining 40% of the Midterm Exam score and 60% of the Final Exam score. Additionally, assignments, projects, term papers, laboratory work, and quizzes may also contribute to the final grade.
Degree Awarded
Students who successfully complete all courses (a total of 120 ECTS credits) in the program are awarded an Associate Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.

Access to Higher Degree Programs
Graduates who are successful in the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) may transfer to related undergraduate programs such as Emergency and Disaster Management, Business Administration, Health Management, Social Work, and others.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Students may be exempted from certain courses in accordance with specific regulations. If the course content is approved by the relevant board of the school/faculty/institute and the application is made within the prescribed time, students may be granted exemptions from those courses.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate, students must successfully complete a total of 120 ECTS credits over four semesters and must also complete their internship successfully.
Employment Opportunities
The department aims to train qualified personnel to work in public institutions and private sector organizations in units established in the field of occupational health and safety.
