The Importance of the Land Registry and Cadastre Program

As is known, surveying engineers and technicians are primarily trained in large-scale map production techniques. During their education, land registry applications are only addressed within the scope of cadastre operations and cadastral changes, but no in-depth training is provided on the practical aspects of land registry systems. As a result, there is a growing need for specialized personnel in the field of land registry. To fill this gap and to cultivate an elite group of professionals specialized in land registry practices, the establishment of the Land Registry and Cadastre Program has been proposed.

Program Objective

The aim of the Land Registry and Cadastre Program is to train qualified personnel who are well-versed in both legal and technical aspects of title deed practices, possess expertise in integrated title deed and cadastre applications, and are competent in both land registry and fundamental surveying operations.

Education and Training

The associate degree program lasts two (2) years, consisting of four (4) semesters. In addition to 14 weeks of instruction per semester (a total of 56 weeks), each student must complete a mandatory internship lasting 24 working days.

Transfer Opportunities Between Universities

There are horizontal transfer opportunities between vocational schools. Furthermore, graduates who are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) may transfer to relevant undergraduate programs in formal education.

Students may transfer to the following programs:

  • Surveying Engineering

  • Geomatics Engineering

  • Land Registry and Cadastre

  • Public Administration
