The panel titled “Methods Touching Pain: Effects and Realities of Complementary Medicine,” organized by the Hitit University Traditional and Complementary Medicine Application and Research Center, was held on December 16, 2025, in the Conference Hall of the Hitit University Faculty of Health Sciences. The panel was moderated by Dr. Remziye Cici, Director of the Hitit University Traditional and Complementary Medicine Application and Research Center. Speakers included Prof. Dr. Gülay Yılmazel, faculty member of the Public Health Nursing Department at the Hitit University Faculty of Health Sciences; Dr. Nur Pınar Ayaz, faculty member of the Surgical Diseases Nursing Department; Dr. Remziye Cici, faculty member of the Surgical Diseases Nursing Department and Director of the HUGETUM Center; Research Assistant Dr. Mustafa Fevzi Karagöz, faculty member of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department; and Physiotherapist Muhammed Talha Yazıcı. Evidence-based traditional and complementary medicine practices that can be used in pain management were addressed from a multidisciplinary and holistic perspective, and evaluated within the framework of public health, surgical care, nursing practices, and complementary methods.
