Hitit University's Faculty of Health Sciences was first opened as a Health School by the Council of Ministers' Decision No. 96/8655 dated October 10, 1996, and published in the Official Gazette No. 22805 dated November 2, 1996. Our current building, where education is conducted, was allocated to the University pursuant to a protocol signed between the Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of Health. In 1997, it commenced education under the name Gazi University Çorum Health School, affiliated with Gazi University. In 2006, by a decision of the Council of Ministers and the Council of Higher Education, it was officially affiliated with Hitit University, and its name was changed to Hitit University Health School. The decision to convert the Health School into a Faculty of Health Sciences was approved by the General Assembly of Higher Education dated March 22, 2018, and submitted to the Ministry of National Education. Following approval from the Ministry of National Education, our School of Health was transformed into a Faculty of Health Sciences by the Council of Ministers' Decree dated May 14, 2018, published in the Official Gazette No. 30470 dated July 6, 2018.


The Faculty of Health Sciences, which has a four-year program, includes the departments of Nursing, Child Development, Health Management, Social Work, and Nutrition and Dietetics. Occupying a total area of ​​5,724 m², our faculty includes an administrative building, detached classrooms, a conference hall, professional practice laboratories, a gym, and 19 academic staff rooms, 16 classrooms, and a canteen.
