The Child Development Club of the Faculty of Health Sciences organized a Children's Rights Event in the Faculty Conference Hall on November 26, 2025, to raise student awareness of children's rights, strengthen the professional responsibilities of child development specialists in this field, and introduce current approaches to protecting children's rights.
At the opening of the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nisa Gökden KAYA, the club's academic advisor, gave an informative speech on the importance of children's rights, national and international regulations for the protection of children, and the roles child development specialists play in this process.
As part of the program, Melike İNEKCİ and Gönül KARAKAYA, fourth-year students in the Child Development Department, gave presentations titled "The Scope of Children's Rights" and "The Protection of Children's Rights." The presentations addressed the fundamental principles of children's rights, their areas of application, and proposed solutions to problems encountered in the field.
The event significantly contributed to our students' development of a professional approach sensitive to children's rights and to their increased knowledge of current issues in this field.
