Sungurlu Vocational School began its academic life in the 2002–2003 academic year under Gazi University with the Departments of Computer Technologies and Programming (Daytime Education) and Business Administration (Daytime Education), starting with a total of 86 students. Our Vocational School, with the motto “The sun of knowledge that illuminates civilization,” was affiliated with Hitit University, which was established on March 17, 2006, by Law No. 5467.

Our school currently employs 21 academic staff members, including 4 faculty members and 17 lecturers. Additionally, we have 8 administrative staff, 5 cleaning personnel, and 5 security personnel.
Transportation
Sungurlu, the district where our Vocational School is located, is the largest district of Çorum province and lies along the Ankara–Samsun Highway, 70 km from Çorum and 170 km from Ankara. Transportation to Çorum and Ankara is available at any hour of the day via minibuses and buses. Merzifon Airport, which offers daily flights to Istanbul, is 135 km away from our district.
Hattusha (Boğazkale), the first capital of the Hittite Civilization and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located approximately 30 km from Sungurlu.
Accommodation
In our district, there is one female and one male student dormitory affiliated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ Credit and Dormitories Institution. For the 2018–2019 academic year, the district has female dormitories with a capacity of 400 students and male dormitories with a capacity of 170 students. There are also private student dormitories for both female and male students.
Scholarships/Loans
In addition to the scholarships and loans provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ Credit and Dormitories Institution, our University offers students opportunities such as part-time work during non-class hours and free meal scholarships.
