The program is offered as a full-time, formal (daytime) undergraduate education. Assessment and evaluation processes are conducted by the provisions outlined in the Hitit University Regulation on Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examinations.
To be eligible for graduation, students must complete a total of 240 ECTS credits and achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00, without failing any course. Students who meet these requirements are awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Public Administration.
The curriculum includes core courses offered by the major subfields of the discipline—Political and Social Sciences, Administrative Sciences, Legal Studies, and Urbanization and Environmental Studies—in addition to a wide range of interdisciplinary electives from fields such as economics, business administration, labor economics, international relations, sociology, philosophy, and history.
The program aims not only to provide foundational knowledge in the field but also to equip students with analytical thinking skills and a critical, questioning approach to public affairs.
In Turkish higher education institutions, recognition of prior formal education (vertical, horizontal, and intra-institutional transfers) is carried out in accordance with the national regulation titled:
“Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major and Minor Programs, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions” issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
The primary goal of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration is to provide students with a solid academic foundation that will prepare them for professional careers in both the public and private sectors.
