Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk was the guest of Genç Vizyon program, which was hosted by the author Süleyman Beledioğlu and communication specialist İsmail Yolcu and broadcast live on Ülke TV screens.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk said Hitit University, which is specialized in the field of machinery and manufacturing Technologies, provides significiant supports to the industry with research and development activities.
Emphasizing the vision of the new Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Öztürk stated “As you know, our well-established universities have been placed in a category as research universities. In addition to this, the specialized universities, which were launched in 2016 and which we included in January 2020 have been put into practice. Hitit University received specialization in 2020 in order to contribute Çorum’s notable industrial sector and manufacturing technologies in the field of machinery and other related sectors. With the serious contributions of our Ministry of Industry and Technology, close negotiations with TÜBİTAK Presidency, and close contacts with the TSE Presidency, we have firmly established our mission, which is Ankara-based. Prof. Dr. Öztürk continued to state “Under these conditions, we are in cooperation with other universities in the region. As Hitit University in Çorum, we have already started master's and doctoral studies in the field of industry and we are producing joint theses with the other universities in the region. We are doing research and development studies that our industry needs. We implemented our technology transfer center. In this regard, we are trying to eliminate the insufficiencies occurred in research and development (R&D) fields”.
