A Project from Our University Aiming To Increase the Interest of Female Students in Engineering Fields

It has been announced that the project prepared by Hitit University Project Coordination and Guidance Office in an attempt to lead female students to engineering fields will be supported within the scope of Erasmus + Youth Dialogue.

Under the direction of the Project Coordination and Guidance Office of our University, in cooperation with OSTİM Middle East Industry and Trade Center Research Development Education Development and Solidarity Foundation, Sivas Science and Technology University, Çorum Provincial Directorate of National Education, Ankara Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate and Sivas National Education Directorate, " STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) project for girls was prepared.

The project, which was selected among 44 projects and entitled to be supported, aimed to break the prejudices of female students against STEM fields, to identify the problems they encounter in choosing these fields and to offer solutions.

Within the scope of the project aiming to pave the way for women to play a significiant role in development through their participation in the workforce in STEM fields, the “STEM for Girls” summit will be held between 28 June-2 July 2021, with the participation of 120 people. The report "Gender inequality in the field of STEM: Problems and Proposals for Solutions" will be prepared by experts and young people in the field and will be presented to lawmakers with a launch in Ankara on February 11, 2022, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
