Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Commemorated on 76th Anniversary of His Death

Founder of our Republic, Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was commemorated on 76^th anniversary of his death in the Faculty of Science and Letters with the participation of academic and administrative staff and the students.

Beginning with a minute of silence and the national anthem, Commemoration Program continued with the speeches of Lecturer Gülcan Avşin Güneş in History Department and Instructor Burcu Özaydın in Turkish Language and Literature Department. Lecturer Gülcan Avşin Güneş informed about Mustafa Kemal’s leadership characteristics making him a national hero in her speech, “Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as a Leader”. Instructor Burcu Özaydın gave her speech, “Atatürk's Language Revolution with Poems” including Atatürk’s opinions on language and examples of the reflections of language revolution on poetry in Turkish literature.

Commemoration Program ended with slide show, “Atatürk’s Last Letter”
