Participation certificates were given to the participants who successfully completed the “Project Cycle Management Training” programme organized by our university and the Association of Industrialists and Businessmen (TÜMSİAD) collaboration.
The programme held in the Conference Hall of our University Rectorship started with the speech of our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan, TÜMSİAD Innovation Team Manager Hüseyin Gazi Karakuş and TÜMSİAD Çorum Branch Chairperson Abdurrahman Kılıç.
TÜMSİAD Innovation Team Manager Hüseyin Gazi Karakuş who gave some information about “Project Cycle Management Training” by referring to the importance of innovation declared it is not a coincidence that developed countries are in the first place in the world innovation. From this viewpoint, innovation teams were formed in all branches of TÜMSİAD in which there is a wide range of participation, especially industry representatives and teaching staff in the university.
TÜMSİAD Çorum Branch Chairperson Abdurrahman Kılıç explained the activities of TÜMSİAD and said that they are in cooperation with the university and other non-governmental organizations. He also added that Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan made a great effort with the foundation of Technocity in our city which would open soon.
Our rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan started his speech by expressing his happiness of being together with a beautiful occasion and said “People are expecting a lot from a university. We also have to do things for the benefit of our country and we are trying to establish model buildings and a sample campus.” In addition, he indicated that necessary support for innovative work was provided while closely following the technological developments of the age required.
In the earliest time Hitit University Scientific and Technical Research and Application Center (HÜBTUAM) and Technocity will go into action and contribute to research and development and innovation-oriented studies both for our country and for the province of Çorum. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan calling attention to important studies on science in our culture stated that the first robot technology was developed by a muslim scientist named El-Cezeri in 12th century.
After the opening speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan and TÜMSİAD Çorum Branch Chairperson Abdurrahman Kılıç presented a plaquet to Co-Chairman of the Project Coordination Unit Inst. Mehmet Aydınkal and Lec. Doğan Demirci for their contributions. The programme ended with giving certificates to participants who successfully completed the training.
