Turkish Athletic Federation Visits our Rector

Turkish Athletic Federation Directorate presented certificate of appreciation to our Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan for his supports to the seminar “Kids’ Athletic Coach Training” hosted by our university and organized by International Athletics Association Federation (IAAF) in 04-05 December 2014.                                                                                                                                                   

As the Minister of Youth and Sports Akif Çağatay Kılıç had a meeting with Turkish Athletic Federation Chair Fatih Çintimar, the certificate of appreciation was presented to Rector Prof. Dr. Alkan by Turkish Athletic Federation Kids’ Athletics General Coordinator Necdet Ayaz presenting the compliments of Federation Chair.

Physical Education and Sports School Manager Assoc. Prof. Dr. Faruk Yamaner, Physical Education and Sports School Assistant Manager Assist. Prof. Dr. Erkan Demirkan, Physical Education and Sports School academic staff Assist. Prof. Dr. Yetkin Utku Kamuk and Physical Education and Sports School Assistant Manager Lect. Emrah Cerit attended the meeting.

Rector Prof. Dr. Reha Metin Alkan emphasized that our university succeeded a lot and he expressed his gratitude for hosting IAAF Kids’ Athletic Coach Training Seminar expressing his thanks to all the stakeholders who contributed to the process.

Lect. Ertay Sertak, member of Educational Committee of Turkish Athletic Federation Kids’ Athletics Coordinatorship gave the seminar, IAAF Kids’ Athletic Coach Training the theoretical part of which was held in the Faculty of Science and Letters Conference Hall and the practical part of which was held in Physical Education and Sports School Manager Sports Hall.

164 students from Physical Education and Sports School attended the seminar the 6th of which was organized in Çorum. Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Perican Bayar from Ankara University made her presentation, “Child Psychology”.

Within the scope of the event, “Kids Certificate” was given to 300 students who attended the activity organized for male and female students aged 7-12 years old.
