Wireless internet Project of our university started in 2012 and has been expanding network coverage. Within the aforementioned project, academic and administrative staff, students and guests can access wireless internet in indoor and outdoor areas of our campuses with all kinds of mobile devices.
Our academic and administrative staff and students can log in the system with their @hitit.edu.tr email addresses. As for our guests, they can get access to internet in ‘guest’ network by password request system developed by our IT Department or by joining in eduroam network.
Our university has become a member of Education Roaming Confedaration upon accomplishing wireless infrastrusture. Within this framework, our staff and students can benefit from internet services of other eduroam member institutions (domestic or foreign) without any registration by using their username and password they use in our university. The same situation is for visitors coming from eduroam member institutions to our university.
There are 94 institutions registered at eduroam Turkey. Turkey eduroam serves in 816 different locations, 9026 access points in network coverages.
