Occupational Health and Safety Coordinatorship (OHS) in Our University
Occupational Health and Safety Coordinatorship has been founded in our university in order
to carry out the works about Occupational Health and Safety in our university and ensure
coordination between the university’s units.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dursun Ali Köse who is the faculty member of Arts and Sciences, Department
of Chemistry and is currently serving as the Managing Director of OHS Expertise Basic
Education Program has been assigned as the coordinator.
The coordinatorship will firstly determine the obligations of Hitit University about OHS and
provide the necessary works to fulfill these obligations. In this context, it will create the risk
analysis chart of all units, make the necessary environment measurements and give the OHS
training plan conspiratorially to the staff which must be legally.
In the first phase, it is planned to give OHS course to the all students in all educational units
of Hitit University including with the formal and distance education within the scope of the
coordinatorship. It is planned to monitor the obligations of the units about the OHS and
make recommendations with OHS Directorate which will be established depending on the
coordinatorship, provide technical support to units on OHS, inform senior management on
OSH and follow the OHS works of the university subunits employers.
