International Symposium on ‘Islamic Insurance and Finance’ started

Organized by Faculty of Theology, Hitit University and Islamic Economics and Finance Application and Research Center, International Symposium on ‘Islamic Insurance and Finance’ started with the participation of scholars from 5 countries 

Lemzi Çöplü, Deputy Mayor of Çorum; Hayrettin Karaman, the retired lecturer and professor on Islamic Law of Marmara University Faculty of Theology; Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk, Rector of Hitit University; Prof. Dr. Fatih Savaşan, Rector of Sakarya University; Prof. Dr. Nihat Dalgın, Rector of Sinop University; Dr. Tarık Akın, Head of the Presidential Finance Office Participation Finance Department, Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Şimşek, Vice Rector of Hitit University; a number of academicians and students attended. 

Prof. Dr. Abdullah Çolak, Dean of Faculty of Theology, Hitit University made a speech at the opening of the symposium, which included a large number of scholars from Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco and Pakistan. In his speech, he expressed that it was a great opportunity to hear insurance and finance from various scholars. He further expressed that this topic, which aims to be safe from accidents and gain something from the economy with legitimate profit, had already touched a certain point in the life of almost every person from history to the present. He also stated that the symposium would shed light on problematic aspects of this topic.
