Hittite University ranks among the best in the 2026 Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ranking
The “Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026”, compiled by Times Higher Education (THE)—one of the world’s most prestigious higher education ranking organisations—has been announced.
Hitit University, which featured in the rankings across all sub-categories in the assessments based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, has once again demonstrated its international visibility and sustainability performance by securing a place amongst the 1,610 universities worldwide that made the rankings.

Hitit University featured in all categories of the 2026 rankings and was recognised as one of the leading universities globally for its performance in the areas of ‘No Poverty’, ‘Good Health and Well-being’, ‘Clean Water and Sanitation’, ‘Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure’, and ‘Responsible Consumption and Production’.
Rising to the 301+ band globally in the “Responsible Consumption and Production” category and the 401+ band in the “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure” category, Hitit University also achieved a ranking in the 401+ band in the “Clean Water and Sanitation” and “End Poverty” categories. Hitit University was ranked in the 601+ band in the “Good Health and Well-being” category.
Among the 74 universities in Turkey that made it into the rankings, Hitit University shares 19th place in the “Responsible Consumption and Production” category and 20th place in the “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”, “Clean Water and Sanitation” and “No Poverty” categories.
