Mission
The mission of the Department of Physical Education and Sports is to educate highly qualified scholars, independent researchers, academics, and field specialists in alignment with Hitit University’s values of ethical conduct, innovation, and commitment to societal development. We aim to provide an academic environment that supports interdisciplinary collaboration, encourages scientific productivity, responds to the needs of the sports sector and society, and prioritizes the generation of knowledge for the benefit of humanity. Our fundamental mission is to equip students with the competencies necessary for conducting scientific research, thinking analytically, upholding ethical responsibility, and translating domain-specific knowledge into effective practice.

Our vision, in harmony with Hitit University’s goal of becoming a respected institution distinguished by scientific productivity and its contribution to social and regional development, is to be a nationally and internationally recognized, innovative, and leading academic unit in the field of sport sciences. To this end, we strive to establish a multicultural and globally engaged academic environment, produce research that is regarded as a reference in sport sciences, strengthen international collaborations, and assume a leading role in areas such as sport, health, and education that generate broad social impact.
