Master's Programs
Thesis and Non-Thesis Master's Programs
The Department of Nursing at Hitit University, Graduate School of Nursing, Republic of Turkey, is actively recruiting students for three programs:
Thesis Master's Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing
Non-Thesis Master's Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing
Thesis Master's Program in Pediatrics and Gynecology Nursing.
The aim of thesis/non-thesis Master's Programs is to train specialist nurses who protect and improve the health of women and children in particular, and families and communities in general, and who provide treatment and rehabilitation services in the event of illness.
Thesis-Based Master's Programs
A thesis-based master's program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course, and a thesis. The seminar course, specialized field course, and thesis are non-credit and are graded as pass or fail. A thesis-based master's program consists of at least eight courses, including the seminar course, and a thesis, totaling at least 120 ECTS credits, with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits per semester. Students are required to register for the thesis-based program each semester, beginning no later than the semester following the assignment of their advisor.
The duration of the thesis-based master's program is four semesters, excluding the time spent on scientific preparation, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program are offered, regardless of whether the student registers for each semester. The program can be completed in a maximum of six semesters.
Non-Thesis Master's Program
A non-thesis master's program consists of at least ten courses, totaling at least 30 credits, and a term project, with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits. Students are required to register for the term project course in the semester in which the term project course is taken and submit a written project and/or report at the end of the semester. The term project course is non-credit and is graded as pass or fail.
Because the non-thesis master's program is a part-time program and classes are held after 5:00 PM, students are required to pay tuition fees on a semester-by-semester basis.
The duration of completing the non-thesis master's program, excluding the time spent on scientific preparation, is a minimum of two semesters and a maximum of three semesters, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program are offered, regardless of whether the student is registered for each semester.
