Our Master's with Thesis and Doctoral programs are open for student admissions. The Master’s with Thesis program consists of a minimum of seven courses corresponding to at least 21 credits, a non-credit seminar course, and a thesis study. The seminar course and the thesis are non-credit and are evaluated on a pass/fail basis.
The duration of the Master’s with Thesis program, excluding the time spent in the scientific preparatory period, is four semesters starting from the semester in which the student enrolls in the program, regardless of course registration status in each semester, and must be completed within a maximum of six semesters.
The programs of the Department of Mechanical Engineering aim to educate master’s graduates who conduct advanced and up-to-date research based on graduate-level competencies, contribute to science at a universal level, and primarily pursue careers within the mechanical industry.
The Doctoral program consists of at least 21 credits and no fewer than 60 ECTS per academic semester, with a minimum total of 240 ECTS credits for students admitted with a Master’s with Thesis degree. The program includes at least seven courses, a seminar, a qualifying examination, a thesis proposal, and a dissertation. For students admitted with a bachelor's degree, the program requires at least fourteen courses corresponding to a minimum of 42 credits, in addition to the seminar, qualifying examination, thesis proposal, and dissertation, for a total of at least 300 ECTS credits.
The duration of the Doctoral program, excluding the scientific preparatory period, is eight semesters for students admitted with a Master’s with Thesis degree, starting from the semester in which program courses begin, regardless of course registration in each semester. The maximum completion period for these students is twelve semesters. For students admitted with a bachelor's degree, the duration is ten semesters, with a maximum completion period of fourteen semesters.
