Within the
scope of our department’s FEDEK accreditation efforts, the Coordination
Commission, established and initiated its activities as of October 2023, has
the following duties:
- Organizing and supervising the
activities of the Student Advisory Commission,
- Organizing and monitoring the
activities of the Strategic Planning and Coordination Commission and
various subcommittees working under this board (Course Program Monitoring
Commission, Infrastructure Preparation and Stakeholders Commission,
Measurement and Evaluation Commission, Self-Assessment Report Preparation
Commission, etc.),
- Ensuring that all aforementioned
commissions and those working under its authority carry out their
activities in harmony, order, and cooperation, and within the time limits
communicated by the University Rectorate.

Accreditation Commission
Within the
scope of our department’s FEDEK accreditation efforts, the Quality
Accreditation Commission, established and initiated its activities as of
October 2023, has the following duties:
- Fulfilling the requirements of
the quality management system, requesting, initiating, and monitoring
corrective and preventive actions,
- Organizing and monitoring
activities in line with the decisions taken by the Faculty Accreditation
Board,
- Attending meetings at the
Department Chairmanship regarding accreditation efforts,
- Monitoring the effectiveness of
assigned tasks,
- Organizing and monitoring the
activities of the Self-Assessment Report Preparation Board,
- Monitoring the currency of
documents related to accreditation.

Curriculum
Development Commission
Within the
scope of our department’s FEDEK accreditation efforts, the Curriculum
Development Commission, established and initiated its activities as of October
2023, has the following duties:
- Monitoring course programs
offered at other national and international universities,
- Informing the Department Chair
about monitored course programs and ensuring necessary revisions,
- Revising course curricula in line
with surveys and feedback,
- Working together with the
Department Chair in resolving course-related issues reported through
advising activities,
- Revising course files, preparing
and operating the course program,
- Organizing students’ and faculty
members’ in-class and extracurricular activities during the semester,
- Fulfilling tasks assigned by the
Department Board regarding improvements in teaching and learning.

deficiencies of the department and reporting them to the Department
Chairmanship,
- Receiving and providing requests
related to infrastructure deficiencies of laboratories and classrooms,
- Communicating malfunction reports
to the Department Chairmanship and ensuring their resolution,
- Monitoring equipment maintenance
activities.

for external stakeholder communication,
- Coordinating relations between
the department and the press,
- Publishing accreditation and
quality policies on the department website,
- Creating a web group for
communication among graduates,
- Planning and organizing
scientific events that bring department students and the public together.

- Ensuring the announcement of
faculty members’ projects to students,
- Facilitating communication
between project coordinators and students to increase student
participation,

Stakeholders
and Alumni Commission
Within the
scope of our department’s FEDEK accreditation efforts, the Stakeholders and
Alumni Commission, established and initiated its activities as of October 2023,
has the following duties:
- Enhancing communication with
employers and classifying received information,
- Forming the Employer Advisory
Board and attending its meetings,
- Receiving employers’ feedback and
suggestions regarding our graduates and the department’s curriculum,
- Administering and evaluating the
Consultation and Advisory Services Assessment Survey,
- Facilitating interaction between
project coordinators and students to enhance student participation,
- Receiving technical trip requests
from faculty members, preparing and announcing technical trip schedules,
- Providing guidance to graduating
students regarding career development and planning,
- Increasing communication with
alumni and organizing meetings,
- Receiving alumni feedback
regarding the curriculum through meetings and surveys,
- Providing support to alumni in
job placement,
- Establishing the Alumni Advisory
Board, organizing meetings, and attending them.

Course
Equivalency (Adaptation) Commission
Within the
scope of our department’s FEDEK accreditation efforts, the Course Equivalency
(Adaptation) Commission, established and initiated its activities as of October
2023, has the following duties:
The
commission is responsible for evaluating, determining principles, and
submitting reports to the Department of Turkish Language and Literature
regarding:
- Students who wish to transfer
laterally into our department,
- Students who have previously
studied at another university and request exemption from courses they have
successfully completed,
- Ensuring the adaptation of
students to the current curriculum of our department,
in accordance
with the provisions of the Hitit University Associate and Undergraduate
Education-Teaching and Examination Regulations, the Regulation on
Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer, Double Major, Minor, and Transfer Between
Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, and
the university’s Lateral Transfer Directive.
