Our thesis-based Master’s and Doctoral programs are open for student admissions.
The thesis-based Master’s program consists of at least 7 courses with a minimum of 21 credits, a seminar course, and a thesis study. The seminar and thesis are non-credit and evaluated on a pass/fail basis.

Excluding any period spent in scientific preparation, the duration of the thesis-based Master’s program is four semesters starting from the term in which the student begins coursework in the program, regardless of course registration status, and must be completed within a maximum of six semesters.

Graduate programs in the Department of Food Engineering aim to train Master’s graduates who conduct research based on current and advanced postgraduate competencies, contribute to science at an international level, and are primarily oriented toward careers in the food industry.

The doctoral program consists of a minimum of 21 credits and at least 240 ECTS credits for students admitted with a thesis-based Master’s degree, including at least seven courses, a seminar, qualifying exam, dissertation proposal, and dissertation work (with each academic term corresponding to at least 60 ECTS credits). For students admitted with a Bachelor’s degree, the program consists of at least fourteen courses corresponding to a minimum of 42 credits, a seminar, qualifying exam, dissertation proposal, and dissertation work, totaling at least 300 ECTS credits.

Excluding any scientific preparation period, the duration of the doctoral program is eight semesters for students admitted with a thesis-based Master’s degree, regardless of course registration status, with a maximum completion period of twelve semesters. For students admitted with a Bachelor’s degree, the program duration is ten semesters, with a maximum completion period of fourteen semesters.
