The Nutrition and Dietetics Undergraduate Program is an interdisciplinary program that combines nutritional sciences with dietetic theory and practice.


It has a four-year duration. The language of instruction is Turkish, with additional professional English instruction. Students who complete the four-year program are eligible to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics.


The curriculum is designed to provide an intensive introduction to nutrition science and professional practice. Core areas of study include biochemistry, physiology, ethics, and communication, as well as practical areas such as clinical dietetics, community and public nutrition, and mass catering system management.


With the approval of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) for student admission to the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Hitit University, the department began accepting students for the 2021-2022 academic year.


Work Areas for Nutrition and Dietetics Graduates


Graduates of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics are qualified health professionals who assess, diagnose, and treat dietary and nutritional problems in society. Public health and food transform scientific research on health and disease into practical guidance that enables people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices.

Therapeutic institutions (private and public hospitals, outpatient clinics, health centers, dialysis units, etc.)

Mass catering systems (food factories, hotel food and beverage departments, all private and public institutions offering mass catering, etc.)

Public health services (maternal and child health centers, community clinics, child and elderly care centers, sports schools, etc.)

Food industry

Research institutions

Educational institutions.


Graduates of the Nutrition and Dietetics Undergraduate Program can pursue postgraduate studies, earning a scientific specialist or doctoral degree, and working in academia if they meet the required criteria.
