Strategic Objectives
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics operates in accordance with the strategic objectives defined below. The program aims to:
1. Develop academic skills in researching, applying, and evaluating the accuracy, reliability, and validity of fundamental knowledge and evidence-based current developments in nutrition and dietetics.
2. Determine the energy and nutrient requirements of healthy individuals and work in nutrition and diet counseling centers in accordance with adequate and balanced nutrition guidelines.
3. Work in family health, community health, and wellness centers to protect, improve, and develop health by using methods to determine the nutritional status of the population.
4. Work in public, private, and university hospitals to assess the nutritional status of sick individuals and implement patient-specific medical nutrition therapies based on clinical findings.
5. Work in institutions providing mass nutrition services such as daycare centers, schools, hospitals, catering companies, nursing homes, and other facilities to ensure nutritional safety and nutrition tailored to the needs of individuals and groups throughout the production-consumption chain.
