History
The School was founded pursuant to the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 96/8655 dated October 10, 1996, which was published in the Official Gazette No. 22805 on November 2, 1996. The current educational building was allocated to the University for a period of 20 years in accordance with a protocol signed between the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Ministry of Health. The institution commenced its educational activities in 1997 under the affiliation of Gazi University, under the title Gazi University Çorum School of Health. In 2006, following the establishment of Hitit University by the decision of the Council of Ministers and the Council of Higher Education, the School was officially incorporated into Hitit University and renamed Hitit University School of Health.
Subsequently, as published in the Official Gazette No. 30470 on July 6, 2018, the School was restructured and elevated to the status of a faculty, officially becoming the Hitit University Faculty of Health Sciences.
General Information
The Faculty offers a four-year undergraduate education program. Within its organizational structure, the Department of Child Development currently employs 3 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors, and 3 Research Assistants. The Department of Child Development was established in 2011 and commenced its educational activities in the 2017–2018 academic year, admitting its first cohort of 60 students in the fall semester.
The undergraduate program in the Department of Child Development spans four years, and the language of instruction is Turkish.
