Mission
The mission of the Department of Child Development is to educate well-equipped and qualified child development specialists who can support the development of children aged 0–18 years, including typically developing children, those with special needs, children who are ill, at risk, or in need of protection. The department aims to design educational programs appropriate to children’s developmental levels, develop assessment tools for evaluating child development, and provide consultancy, publications, and research services to individuals, institutions, and organizations in accordance with their needs. Furthermore, it seeks to develop, implement, and diversify projects that benefit children and families from all segments of society by employing contemporary approaches concerning children, families, educators, and the community.

In addition, the department aims to become one of the leading national and international institutions that contribute to society through education, consultancy, research, and publication services directed toward families, children, and professionals.
