Student Meetings Held Within the Scope of the Child Development Department Quality Activities


On November 16–17, 2025, “Internal Stakeholder Meetings – Department Student Meetings” were held in our department. The meetings were conducted separately for each class level. The presentations during the meetings were delivered by our department research assistants, Büşra KURTOĞLU KARATAŞ and Sevda POLAT.
During the meetings, the purpose of the department student meetings was explained, with particular emphasis on the accreditation process, the importance of accreditation, and the benefits it provides to students. In this context, the importance of students’ active participation in accreditation activities, the impact of student feedback on quality processes, and the role of surveys in this process were highlighted.
Additionally, explanations were provided regarding alternative assessment and evaluation methods, their differences from traditional methods, and their contributions to students’ academic success. Suggestions were shared to encourage students to take a more active role in their educational processes. The meetings also included information on course evaluation processes, career services, Erasmus+ mobility, double major and minor programs, the service quality of administrative units, academic advising, social facilities, support provided to disadvantaged students, and the department’s strengths and areas for improvement.
The meetings concluded with the collection of students’ opinions and suggestions.
