Program Qualifications Information Session Held
The Program Qualifications Information Session for our students was held on 21–23 October 2026 by Research Assistant Dr. Merve Nur Bozkurt Karalı.
The sessions were conducted during class hours and covered students in all four year levels (first, second, third, and fourth years). During the sessions, students were introduced to the 14 program qualifications that define the knowledge, skills, and competencies they are expected to acquire by graduation. Examples were provided to illustrate how individual courses contribute to the achievement of these qualifications. Students were also shown how to access relevant information about program qualifications through the University Information Management System (UBYS).
To evaluate the effectiveness of the sessions, students completed questionnaires both before and after the training. In addition, a course evaluation questionnaire was administered to senior students to gather their views and suggestions regarding the courses.
The questionnaire results will be discussed by the Department Board to inform efforts aimed at improving courses and enhancing the quality of education.
The sessions aimed to raise students’ awareness of program qualifications, strengthen their understanding of the relationship between learning processes and program outcomes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of educational quality.
