The proposal to convert our Physical Education and Sports College, which offers undergraduate education within our university, into a Faculty of Sports Sciences has been reviewed. Following the evaluation, the Physical Education and Sports College was closed and the Faculty of Sports Sciences was established by the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2017/10456 dated 12/06/2017.
As a college affiliated with the Rectorate of Hittite University, based on the Ministry of National Education's letter dated 31.03.2009 and numbered 9252, the Council of Ministers decided on 10.04.2009, in accordance with the additional article 30 of the Law dated 28.03.1983 and numbered 2809, and published in the Official Gazette dated 28.04.2009 and numbered 27213. It was established by a decision of the Council of Ministers on April 10, 2009, and published in the Official Gazette dated April 28, 2009, and numbered 27213.Education and training began in 2011.
Our faculty, which has a study period of 4 years, includes the departments of Coaching Education, Sports Management, Physical Education and Sports (Teaching), and Recreation. The goal of our faculty, which aims to continue its growth and development with new departments, is to be an educational institution that aims to impart sports awareness that enables universal values, contemporary thinking, shaping the future, and being creative, productive, and free. Our faculty is aware of its responsibilities in bringing the Republic of Turkey to the level of contemporary civilizations and will continue its education and training in this direction.
