The ‘İŞKUR Youth Programme’, implemented in collaboration with the Turkish Employment Agency and our University to increase the employability of university students and enable them to gain knowledge, skills and experience, will be launched. A total of 587 students will benefit from the İŞKUR Youth Programme during the 2025-2026 academic year. Under the programme, students will work full-time on specific days of the week in academic and administrative units within Hittite University. The programme will start on Monday, 3 November 2025, and end on Friday, 26 June 2026.
Application Requirements: The application and participation requirements for the programme are as follows:
Being a citizen of the Republic of Turkey,
Being registered with İŞKUR,
Being at least 18 years of age,
Being an associate degree, undergraduate, master's or doctoral student at Hittite University and not having one's registration suspended and/or inactive,
Not be receiving old age (retirement) or disability pension (those receiving incapacity or death pension may benefit from the programme),
Not be insured under Article 4 of Law No. 5510 during the last month prior to the application date and, if selected as a participant, prior to the start date,
Not to have been an employee of Hittite University or its affiliated, related, associated, or subsidiary organisations within one year prior to the programme application date and until the actual start date of the programme,
Not to be insured under Article 5 (short-term insurance) of Law No. 5510 during the application, commencement, and continuation of the programme,
According to the Address Registration System (AKS) on the date of application, the total monthly income of those residing at the same address for the last specified month must not exceed three times the net minimum wage for one month (this condition does not apply to those whose primary address is in collective living areas such as dormitories and shelters, etc.),
Not benefiting from active labour force programmes and unemployment insurance as of the application and start date (not being entitled to and not receiving unemployment benefits),
Areas of Work
Students accepted into the programme will be able to work in the following main areas of activity within the academic and administrative units of Hittite University:
· Supporting Sustainable Campus Activities,
· Supporting Campus Infrastructure and Maintenance Activities,
· Supporting Social and Cultural Activities,
· Supporting Academic and Administrative Activities,
· Supporting Community Service and Cooperation Activities,
· Supporting Student Development and Adaptation Activities,
· Supporting Digital Transformation and Innovation Activities,
· Supporting Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Activities,
Working Hours and Employment Rights
The programme will be implemented for a maximum of 3 days per week. The daily working hours are 7.5 (seven and a half) hours, and no fewer hours may be worked. Participants' working days will be determined under the direction and supervision of the Hittite University Career and Alumni Office. Participants can benefit from a maximum of 140 actual days within the scope of the programme. Students who benefit from the programme in the Spring Term of the 2024-2025 Academic Year will be able to work for the remaining days from their previous work period if they regain their right to work, and their exit will be carried out upon completion of 140 actual days.
Participants will be paid a net daily amount of 1,083.00₺ by İŞKUR for each day they participate in the programme. In addition, İŞKUR will cover the participants' work accident and occupational disease insurance and general health insurance for the days they participate (this does not include pension insurance premiums).
Applications and Process
Applications for the programme will be accepted between 13–17 October 2025 via one of the methods listed below. Students eligible for the programme will be selected through a lottery conducted by a notary public from among valid applications. The lottery will take place on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, at 09:30 in the Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall, Faculty of Theology, Hittite University North Campus. Students who have applied may participate in the lottery.
Students who meet the application requirements and wish to work within the scope of the programme must apply by 23:59 on Friday, 17 October 2025:
• Via the ALO-170 communication line,
• The İŞKUR Mobile application,
• İŞKUR e-branch (after logging in as a job seeker at www.iskur.gov.tr, go to ‘Online Transactions / Job Seeker / İŞKUR Youth Programme’),
• By visiting genclik.iskur.gov.tr, entering the programme number of the province/district where they wish to work, and selecting it.
Those experiencing difficulties with their application may request assistance from İŞKUR Çorum Provincial Directorate staff. Even if the applications of students who do not meet the application and participation requirements are accepted by the system, they will be removed from the programme if this is detected during the checks.
