Our Vocational School was established on March 8, 1976, under the name Machinery Vocational School. In the following years, the number of technical programs was increased, and several programs from the Department of Economics and Administrative Programs were added to the school’s structure.
The Vocational School was affiliated with Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University Rectorate in 1982 through a decree law numbered 41. Later, with the law numbered 3389, dated June 27, 1987, it was incorporated into the Faculty of Engineering, which was established in Çorum under Ondokuz Mayıs University. Subsequently, with the law numbered 3837, published in the Official Gazette dated July 11, 1992 and numbered 21282, the school was directly affiliated with Gazi University Rectorate.
With the law numbered 5467, adopted on March 1, 2006, our Vocational School became part of Hitit University, one of the 15 newly established universities.
Upon the proposal of the Hitit University Rectorate to divide the Vocational School into Technical Sciences Vocational School and Social Sciences Vocational School, and to transfer the related programs and their students accordingly, the Higher Education General Assembly approved the decision in its meeting held on September 25, 2014, in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, as amended by Law No. 2880.
Since then, the school has continued its educational activities at the associate degree level under the names Technical Sciences Vocational School and Social Sciences Vocational School, training qualified intermediate staff and technicians in their respective fields.
Located in the city center with a modern campus, our Vocational School currently offers education through 15 departments and 19 programs, serving approximately 2,942 students. With its expert academic and administrative staff, the school provides full-time education and training.
As one of the oldest and most well-established educational institutions in our country, the school features a library, reading hall, and a cafeteria offering daily meal service. In addition, students have access to Wi-Fi internet throughout the campus.Thanks to its central location, transportation to all parts of the city is easily accessible.
