The Software Development Unit was established to digitalize data management processes and accelerate access to institutional data at Hitit University.
In collaboration with the Department of Information Technologies, the Unit developed the HEP (Hitit University Action Plan Program) automation system.
HEP forms the foundation of the university’s institutional data pool by enabling the standardized collection, analysis, and reporting of data from all university units. Through this system, paper consumption and manual workload have been significantly reduced, while data collection processes have become faster and more efficient.
The Software Development Unit is responsible for the entire technical infrastructure of the HEP system — including the creation of database tables, the design of reporting interfaces, the implementation of user requests, as well as error management and documentation processes.
In addition, the Unit has developed the Performance Monitoring (PM) System, which plays a critical role in the university’s digital transformation.
This integrated decision-support platform enables the holistic monitoring of strategic objectives, unit activities, and individual performance indicators.
The PM System digitalizes numerous processes — from student feedback and academic course distribution to attendance analysis and resource planning.
With its scientific productivity model, which measures academic performance through 18 parameters, and its 360-degree performance analysis approach for administrative staff, the system can process more than three million data entries.
This system constitutes the digital backbone of Hitit University’s data-driven, transparent, and measurable management culture.
