Historical Decision for Jerusalem

As it is known, a short time ago, the US administration made an irresponsible statement that Jerusalem recognized Israel as a capital and that it would carry its embassy in Jerusalem to Jerusalem, and we have been in a statement that we are very worried about this statement.

Islamic Cooperation Organization (IIT) member countries, the US administration after the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel today in the Extraordinary Summit held in Istanbul, this decision was taken against the final decision.

It was reported that East Jerusalem was declared the capital of the Palestinian State and in the direction of these decisions, Islamic countries invited all states to recognize that the Palestinian State and East Jerusalem were its occupied capitals.

This is the final declaration:

• We declare that we recognize the Palestinian State which is the capital city of East Jerusalem. We invite the world to recognize East Jerusalem as the occupied Palestinian state's capital.
• The unilateral decision of the President of the United States recognizing Jerusalem as the so-called President of the Occupying Power Israel was strongly rejected and condemned.
• It is emphasized that the dangerous declaration aimed at changing the legal status of Jerusalem-Sharif is far from being null and legitimate.
• It has been noted that the US Administration is fully responsible for all consequences arising from the non-withdrawal of this illegal declaration.
• All member states have been called upon to give high priority to the Palestinian question, in particular the daily contacts with their counterparts from other parts of the world and their foreign political agendas.
• In accordance with the internationally recognized reference provisions based on a Palestinian state, which is based on the two-state solution, the capital, East Jerusalem, and the Arab Peace Initiative in 2002, which is considered as a strategic choice in the Extraordinary Islamic Summit Conference in Mecca-i Mükerreme in 2005 and a commitment to a comprehensive peace has been confirmed.

We once again deny and condemn the US President's unilateral decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's supposed leader. Jerusalem is a city that is too old to be sacrificed to internal political calculations and is the common heritage of all Islam and humanity. The red line of Islam is in Jerusalem. We welcome the international consensus that the US administration's declaration of violation of all international legitimacy decisions is rejected because of serious reflections on security and stability in the region and in the world, and we are pleased with the decisions taken to invite the entire Islamic world to support it.
