With the Supreme Military Command Battle under the leadership of Veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk starting 26 August and ending up in victory in August 30, 1922, our home lands liberated from enemy occupation and our nation gained the honor of living in freedom and independence.
Through 30 August Victory in the sense of unity and solidarity, our nation has given a lesson to be remembered to those who want to remove them from the stage of history by setting an example for all oppressed nations and it has been accepted all over the world that our nation will no way compromise its independence and freedom and will be there forever.
The military coup attempt by FETÖ/PDY Armed Terrorist Organization and collaborators in 15 July 2016 against our country and our nation's unity was parried in a short time thanks to the noble and upright posture of Turkish Nation. No doubt that those who try to disrupt our unity with the terrorist attacks will never reach their ambitions. I accept the attacks carried out with great sorrow and I condemn all kinds of terrorism.
Living in this land for centuries engaging with the bond of brotherhood, we will continue not to collapse patiently without compromising our feelings of brotherhood and solidarity against the perfidious attacks and terror organized by evilest ones who are trying to disrupt our unity and peace.
With these feelings and thoughts, I remember our martyrs with God’s mercy and brave veterans with gratitude and respect and I celebrate 30 August Victory Day of our nation with my best regards.
