TUBITAK Support Programme for Attending International Scientific Events

Partial support will be provided to scientists conducting postgraduate education and/or research and postdoctoral studies on Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social and Humanistic Sciences in Turkey for attending international scientific events.

The Amount of Support and Payment

• Maximum 1.000 USD equivalent to TL for Europe countries
• Maximum 1.500 USD equivalent to TL for America and Far East countries

NOTE: The upper limits changes according to the countries.

The Support for Attending International Scientific Events will be transmitted to the bank account after all the expenditure documents are sent to BİDEB.

Application Requirements:

Applications for the Support of Congress Conference:

• A refereed event or an event having been organized regulary for 10 years
• An important international conference about the scientific field of the researcher
• A current website having information about the event
• Having been accepted for an oral presentation at least 10 minutes
• Being the only person to present the proceeding in the event
• Being a postgraduate student or finished postgraduate student at least
• Not having benefited from this programme in the last 2 years
• Being in Turkey in the application dates    

Applications for the Support of Summer/Winter School:

• Having been accepted to international summer/winter schools providing advanced theoretical and practical Education (the programme does not include NATO-ASI and ARW)    
• Not having benefited from this programme in the last 2 years
• Being a postgraduate student
• Attending a summer/winter school related with the thesis subject
• Being in Turkey in the application dates.

NOTE: The ones studying in the projects supported by TUBITAK cannot benefit from this programme to attend international scientific meetings if they have travel support in their projects.

Furthermore;

1.     The support will not be provided to the international meetings organized by Turkish univbersities and institutions/establishments or the meetings attended by Turks mostly.

2.     The support will not be provided to the ones who have not completed an important part of their studies (minimum 70%) in Turkey.

3.     The support will not be provided to attend international events for published articles.

Application Dates

Applications are accepted every month. The deadline is the last Friday of the related month.

The beginning date of the event should be later than the last deadline. If there is less time than 30 days between the last deadline and the beginning date of the event, the application results are announced after the beginning date of the event because of the evaluation process.
