Application and Admission Requirements

Article 7 – (1) The application and admission requirements for the Minor Program are as follows:

a) At the time of application, the student must have taken and successfully completed all courses in the major program up to the semester of application.
b) The student’s Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) must be at least 2.50 out of 4.00 to apply for the minor program. In addition, the student must rank within the top 20% of their class in the relevant major program.
c) The student must not have received any disciplinary punishment.

(2) Applications for the Minor Program must be submitted to the relevant Faculty Dean’s Office or School Directorate with the application form and transcript on the dates specified in the academic calendar.

(3) Students may apply to the minor program no earlier than the beginning of the 3rd semester and no later than the beginning of the 6th semester of their major undergraduate program.

(4) Applications approved by the relevant department are finalized by the decision of the Administrative Board of the student’s faculty or school upon the department’s recommendation. The decision (together with photocopies of its attachments) is submitted to the Student Affairs Department. Students who are accepted are announced along with alternates before the course registration dates indicated in the academic calendar.

(5) For departments that admit students through a special talent examination, applicants must also meet the success criteria of that examination.

(6) Students cannot be enrolled in more than one double major program at the same time. However, they may be enrolled in a double major program and a minor program simultaneously.

(7) Students who have lost their minor program status for any reason cannot reapply or continue in a minor program.

(8) Students accepted into the minor program must complete their course registration on the registration renewal dates specified in the academic calendar, or, if they have an approved excuse by the Administrative Board, at the latest during the add/drop period.

Course Registration

Article 13 – (1) Course registration procedures for minor programs are carried out during the course registration period specified in the academic calendar.
