Students who are admitted to the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics first complete their university registration procedures via the e-Government (e-Devlet) system. Subsequently, they register for courses at the beginning of the semester and commence their education. The evaluation and exemption of courses previously taken by students are carried out in accordance with the principles set forth in the Directive on Course Equivalency, Exemption, and Adaptation Procedures determined by the Senate of Hitit University.

Students of the department have the right to transfer to other universities through horizontal transfer, provided that they meet the required conditions. Likewise, students enrolled in other universities may apply for a horizontal transfer to the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Hitit University if they satisfy the specified criteria. Applications for horizontal transfer are evaluated based on the student’s university entrance score or current academic grade point average (GPA). Information on available quotas is announced every semester on the faculty, department, and university websites.

Horizontal transfer quotas are determined by the decision of the relevant Administrative Board. The courses previously taken by accepted transfer students are reviewed by the Adaptation Committee established within the department in terms of content and credit equivalency. Courses deemed appropriate are recognized as equivalent, and students are granted exemption from them. Courses that are not matched must be retaken within the framework of the department’s curriculum, ensuring that students do not experience any loss in their academic progress.

Students who wish to continue their education at another higher education institution as special students due to health issues or other exceptional circumstances are also provided this opportunity. Similarly, it is possible to take courses within the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics under special student status. Students in this category select their courses under the guidance of their academic advisors. Upon completion of the special student period, the courses taken are transferred to the student’s home university and are considered valid for graduation procedures.
