Our Department Visited the Data Office: Digital Measurement and Evaluation and Quality Processes Were Evaluated
Our department's faculty members, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Yüksel KOÇAK and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serpil YILMAZ, paid an official visit to the Hitit University Data Analysis and Digital Transformation Office on June 18, 2026. During the meeting, which was also attended by Murat REÇBER from the Data Office, the university's Examination Management System was examined in detail.
The visit discussed the contributions that the existing digital infrastructure will make to the quality of our department's assessment and evaluation, continuous improvement (PDCA) cycles, and the HEPDAK accreditation standards we are currently implementing.
It was stated that thanks to the innovations planned to be integrated into the system by the Fall Semester of the 2026-2027 academic year, a new stage will be reached in the digital monitoring of educational quality, and the success and reliability analyses of exams will be automatically reported by the system with the developed infrastructure. The Examination Management System will allow for the matching of course and program outcomes with the system, and the achievements and individual development of students until graduation can be tracked in real time.
Clinical practice and skills assessments, which are the most important part of nursing education, can also be transferred to the digital environment in this process. In the future, students' practice performance and OSCE (clinical exam) results will be combined in the system, creating a modern digital portfolio (e-portfolio) infrastructure for each student.
Thanks to the accreditation and PDCA screens to be added to the system, institutional reports and success tables in line with HEPDAK and YÖKAK standards can be automatically generated. Thus, steps towards continuous improvement in education can be easily proven through the digital system.
As part of the preparations for the new term, coordinated development work between the Data Office and our department has been rapidly initiated.
