Our university has become the first university in Anatolia to have an accredited laboratory at international standards for the analysis of plastic toys, clothes, shoes and derivatives. Turkish Accreditation Agency authorized Hitit University Scientific and Technical Practice and Research Center (HUBTUAM) for testing and analysis of plastic items.
HUBTUAM Director Prof. Dr. İrfan Kurtbaş noted that the center has been serving the region since 2017 in the analysis of harmful substances such as phthalates and azo dyes in clothing and plastic toys. Prof. Kurtbaş further added "At this point, Hitit University Scientific and Technical Practice and Research Center has succeeded in analyzing the harmful substances such as phthalate azo dye, chamfer, chromium gold, especially in plastics, clothes and shoes. The center has successfully received an accredited laboratory certification in this field”.
