The 1st International Congress on
Security Studies was organized by the Department of International Relations of
the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Hitit University between
24-26 December 2021.
Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk, Rector
of Hitit University; Dr. Savaş Ünlü, Head of Migration Management of the
Ministry of Interior; Prof. Dr. Sabiha Kılıç, Dean of the Faculty of Economics
and Administrative Sciences; Prof. Dr.
Hüseyin Bağcı, faculty member of Middle East Technical University; and Prof.
Dr. Yaprak Gürsoy, London School of Economics attended the opening ceremony of
the congress, which was broadcast live on our university's ‘YouTube’ and
‘Twitter’ official accounts.
“We have guests from 74 different institutions
and 7 different countries”
Pointing out that there was a
high level of participation in the congress at the international level, Prof.
Dr. Öztürk said:
“We have guests from 74 different
institutions and 7 different countries. Approximately 160 academicians are
expected to present their papers. We have firstly started by looking at the
question of international security from a broad perspective. We see that the
participants from the USA, England, Germany, and Kazakhstan have created a
scope that will reflect the basic dynamics of the field and allow for current discussions.
On behalf of our university, I'd like to express my gratitude to our esteemed
academicians and researchers who attended our congress”.
