Dear Applicant,

Thank you for reviewing the 2026-2027 academic year application calendar. This document aims to provide a detailed overview of each stage of the application process, the important dates, and the steps required for a successful application. We kindly request that you read through it carefully so you can fully understand all procedures and requirements.

The application process consists of three main stages: the Application Period, the Decision Period, and the Pre-Registration Period. Each stage includes specific tasks and deadlines that are essential for a successful application and registration.

Application Period

The Application Period is the time during which you must prepare and submit all required documents via the designated online portal. These may include your transcript, diploma, passport, and a passport-sized photo. It is crucial to gather these documents in advance and review all requirements before uploading them to avoid delays caused by missing paperwork. When submitting your application online, please follow the instructions carefully to avoid any errors and to ensure smooth evaluation of your application.

Decision Period

Once you have completed your application, the Decision Period begins. During this stage, your application is evaluated based on your academic achievements, extracurricular activities, personal statements, and other relevant factors. It is vital that you regularly check your email and the application portal to stay informed of updates from the International Student Admission Committee. You should be prepared for possible outcomes such as acceptance, waitlisting, or rejection, and take the necessary steps in a timely manner.

Pre-Registration Period

If your application is accepted, you will move on to the Pre-Registration Period. During this time, you must officially confirm your acceptance and complete your course registration. If you are required to enroll in the compulsory TOMER Turkish language course, you must do so within this same period. Considering that course capacity may be limited, you should promptly follow the instructions provided in your acceptance notification and ensure you complete all necessary registration steps without delay.

It is essential to adhere to the designated registration dates. Failure to complete your registration between the earliest and latest registration dates may result in losing your spot or incurring additional fees. For example, if the earliest registration date is July 1, 2026, and the latest registration date is November 30, 2026, you must finalize your registration within this timeframe.

Tips for a Successful Application

Organization: Use a calendar or digital planning tools to track all deadlines and required documents.

Effective Communication: Respond promptly and thoroughly to messages from the admissions committee.

Seek Assistance: If you encounter any issues or have questions, do not hesitate to contact the admissions office.

Review Requirements: Carefully examine the specific requirements of the program to which you are applying and tailor your application accordingly.

Prepare for Language Requirements: If you need to enroll in the TOMER Turkish course, ensure you understand any prerequisites or required materials.

By following this guide and meeting the specified deadlines, you can look forward to a smooth and successful application experience for the 2025-2026 academic year. We wish you success with your application.

Crucial Warning: Age and Graduation Date Requirements

To further qualify for direct application to undergraduate programs in Turkey, applicants must adhere to specific age and educational timeline criteria. Firstly, applicants must be 23 years old or younger at the time of application. Individuals over 23 years old have a very slight chance of being accepted, and some programs may enforce stricter age limits. It is essential for applicants to verify the specific age requirements of their chosen programs with Hitit University to ensure compliance.

Secondly, the recency of high school graduation is a critical factor in the eligibility process. Applicants must have graduated from high school within the last five years prior to the application date. Those whose high school graduation date exceeds five years from the application date are rejected and considered ineligible for direct application. This criterion is strictly enforced to maintain the relevance and currency of the applicant's educational background, and exceptions are typically not granted, highlighting the importance of meeting this requirement.
