Required Documents

Applying to Hitit University involves several essential steps to ensure your application is complete and meets all necessary criteria. This guide provides a detailed overview of each required document and the procedures you need to follow to successfully submit your application.

Online Orientation Fee Receipt

Before you can proceed with your application, it is mandatory to complete the Application Process Training. This training is designed to familiarize you with the university’s application procedures and requirements. To enroll in this training, you must pay a fee of USD 50.

For international applicants outside of Türkiye, the payment must be made using a credit card issued by a bank outside of Türkiye, as Turkish bank credit cards are not accepted due to technical limitations. After making the payment, you should obtain a receipt or confirmation document. This receipt must be shared via WhatsApp by sending a clear image or PDF to the number +90 (364) 219 1995. Additionally, you are required to upload the payment document within the application portal to complete this step.

Applicants residing within Türkiye have a different payment method. They must make a direct bank transfer to HALKBANK using the provided IBAN: TR70 0001 2009 3120 0053 0006 09, with the recipient listed as Strateji Geliştirme Daire Başkanlığı. To complete the payment, visit the nearest Halkbank branch, provide the necessary details, and obtain a payment receipt. This receipt should then be submitted via WhatsApp and uploaded to the application system, similar to international applicants.

Diploma/Graduation Certificate

To verify your educational background, you must submit an official diploma or graduation certificate from a recognized institution accepted by Hitit University. This document must meet the required minimum score set by the university. It is crucial that your diploma is from a recognized exam or diploma, as applications lacking valid scores from these sources will not be considered.

For graduates, it is necessary to provide a high school diploma. If your diploma is not in Turkish or English, you must include a notarized translation to ensure its authenticity and comprehension by the admissions committee. This ensures that your foundational education meets the university’s standards.

Transcripts

An official high school transcript approved by your high school administration is required to provide a detailed account of your academic performance. This transcript should list all the courses you have taken during high school along with the grades you received for each course. It is important that the transcript is comprehensive; applications missing an official transcript or those that only list courses from the exam result document will be rejected. Ensure that your transcript is sealed and signed by your high school to maintain its authenticity.

TÖMER Certificate

Proficiency in the Turkish language is essential for academic success at Hitit University. To demonstrate your proficiency, you must submit a TÖMER (Teaching of Turkish as a Foreign Language) certificate. The preferred certification is the C-1 Certificate issued directly by Hitit University TÖMER. If you possess a C-1 certificate from another TÖMER center, it must be accompanied by a proficiency certificate obtained from the placement exam administered by Hitit University TÖMER. This additional requirement ensures that your language skills meet the university’s standards.

Photocopy of Original Passport

A clear photocopy of your original passport is required to verify your identity and nationality. This copy should capture all relevant details, including your photo, personal information, and passport validity dates. The passport copy must be uploaded directly to the application portal. Ensure that your passport is valid for the duration of your intended stay at Hitit University to avoid any issues with your application or visa processing.

Foreign Language Certificate

Depending on the department you are applying to, demonstrating proficiency in English or Arabic is necessary. Hitit University has two departments within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences that require 100% English proficiency, and one department within the Faculty of Theology that requires 30% Arabic proficiency.

Accepted English proficiency tests include TOEFL IBT with a minimum score of 75 points, PTE Academic with at least 55 points, CPE with a minimum grade of C, CAE with a minimum score of B, YÖKDİL with at least 70, and YDS with a minimum of 70. Ensure that your language proficiency certificate is current and that you submit official score reports as required by the application portal.

Additional Documents for High School Graduates in Türkiye

If you are continuing or have completed your high school education in Türkiye, additional documentation is required based on your residency and citizenship status. Foreign applicants must provide a copy of their residence permit. Candidates who have renounced their Turkish nationality need to submit a copy of the blue card or official permission to renounce citizenship. Additionally, applicants who have acquired Turkish citizenship as foreign nationals must provide copies of their residence permits or official documents indicating the date of citizenship acquisition, such as a birth certificate or court decision.

It is important to note that applicants who have completed their entire high school education abroad and have Turkish citizenship at the time of application cannot apply as international students. Instead, these candidates must enter higher education institutions through the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS).

For Candidates Who Completed High School Education Abroad

Turkish nationals or individuals holding Republic of Türkiye nationalities who have completed their high school education abroad must provide an entry-exit certificate obtained from the e-government portal or relevant passport pages. Additionally, you must submit documentation proving that your high school education was completed in an accredited institution abroad. This can include diplomas, official transcripts, or letters from educational institutions. Ensure that all documents clearly indicate the completion of your high school education outside of Türkiye and that they are translated into Turkish or English if originally in another language, accompanied by notarized translations if required.
