The Advanced Materials and Robotics Laboratory offers a research and development environment that brings together two distinct disciplines and enables interdisciplinary collaboration. Within the field of materials science, the laboratory provides a modern R&D setting where advanced surface treatment processes are applied. It is equipped with anodization systems and electrophoretic deposition (EPD) equipment, which make it possible to carry out high-performance coating and surface enhancement studies.

In addition, the laboratory provides facilities for miniature robot design and prototyping within the field of robotics. A laser cutting system is available to transform two-dimensional designs into three-dimensional prototypes, particularly in the area of miniature robotics. The laboratory also includes a walking track equipped with image processing systems for prototype testing.

The advanced materials discipline supports the testing of various materials used in prototype robot production, offering an excellent example of interdisciplinary collaboration between materials science and robotics.
