2025-2026 Academic Year Graduation and Clearance Procedures
Students who are eligible to graduate from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration (PSPA) at the end of the 2025-2026 academic year (having successfully completed all their courses) are required to initiate a clearance application via the UBYS system to finalize their graduation procedures.
Details regarding the graduation and diploma delivery process are outlined below:
*1. Initiating the Clearance Application*
Graduating students must initiate the clearance process themselves via the system. The procedure is identical whether using a mobile device or a computer:
* Log in to the *Student Information Screen* (Öğrenci Bilgi Ekranı) within the UBYS system.
* Click on the *'Request Clearance'* (İlişik Kesme Talebinde Bulun) link under the *'Other'* (Diğer) option in the main menu.
* Fill in the required information to start the process.
*2. Approval and Graduation Process*
* *No Physical Signature Required:* Wet signatures are not required for graduation procedures; PSPA Department advisor approvals are granted directly through the system.
* Once the system approvals for the clearance process initiated by the student are completed, the Student Affairs staff will finalize the graduation process via the system.
*3. Graduation Certificate via e-Devlet*
* The graduation certificates of students whose graduation is finalized in the system will automatically appear on the *e-Devlet portal within 24 hours*. Students can use this document immediately for official procedures.
*4. Delivery Process of the Printed Bachelor's Diploma*
* *Printing Date:* Bachelor's diplomas are not printed immediately. The printing and distribution of hard-copy diplomas will be carried out as of the *Fall of 2026*. (Students may call the Student Affairs Office to confirm whether their diploma has been printed.)
* *Delivery Period:* Diplomas will be available for pick-up starting from the *Fall of 2026*.
* *Delivery Conditions:* Diplomas will be delivered by hand at our Faculty, either to the student in person or to a representative holding a notarized power of attorney. *Diplomas will under no circumstances be sent via cargo or mail.*
* *Student ID Return and High School Diploma:* Students must surrender their *student ID cards* to the Student Affairs Office when receiving their diplomas. During this process, the original *high school diploma*, if present in the student's file, will also be returned.
