QUALITY POLICIES (FACULTY-SPECIFIC SUB-POLICIES)

EDUCATION AND TRAINING POLICY 

Objective: To educate student-centred graduates equipped with spiritual and moral values, competent in their field, capable of critical thinking and sensitive to social issues.

Scope: Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, curriculum development, teaching methods, assessment and evaluation, student counselling.

Principles: 

- Student-centredness offers flexible learning pathways that take individual differences into account. 

- The curriculum is continuously updated to combine tradition with innovation. 

- Fairness, reliability and diversity are fundamental in measurement and evaluation processes. 

- The academic advisory system supports the student's personal and professional development. 

- The integration of technology and the use of digital resources in education are encouraged.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT POLICY 

Objective: To conduct high-quality scientific research in theology at national and international levels, to encourage interdisciplinary research, and to disseminate knowledge for the benefit of society.

Scope: Scientific publications, projects, conference/symposium organisation, collaborations, ethical rules.

Principles: 

- Commitment to ethical values, originality and scientific rigour form the basis of research. 

- Interdisciplinary studies are supported in the field of theology. 

- Incentive mechanisms are established to increase the number of publications indexed in international databases. 

- Participation in national and international project calls such as TÜBİTAK, Erasmus+, and BAP is encouraged. 

- The international visibility and quality of the Hittite Journal of Theology is continuously improved.

SOCIAL CONTRIBUTION POLICY 

Objective: To develop projects that address the religious, cultural and social needs of society at local, regional and national levels; to provide services for disadvantaged groups.

Scope: Social responsibility projects, religious services, spiritual counselling, cooperation with public institutions and NGOs.

Principles: 

- Scientifically based solutions are developed for the religious and moral problems of society. 

- Joint projects are carried out with the Provincial Directorate of Religious Affairs, the Directorate of National Education, municipalities and NGOs. 

- Students are encouraged to participate in voluntary community service. 

- Spiritual counselling and guidance activities are organised for disadvantaged groups such as disabled persons, elderly persons, and prisoners. 

- Activities aimed at preserving and promoting cultural heritage (conferences, exhibitions, panels) are organised.

INTERNATIONALISATION POLICY 

Objective: To increase the Faculty's visibility in international academic networks, enhance student and academic staff mobility, and create a multicultural educational environment.

Scope: Erasmus+ and other exchange programmes, international student admissions, joint projects, education in foreign languages.

Principles: 

- Cultural diversity is enriched by increasing the number of international students and teaching staff. 

- Promotion and incentive activities are carried out for participation in Erasmus+ and similar programmes. 

- The introduction of courses in foreign languages and the development of English/Arabic curricula are supported. 

- Cooperation protocols are signed with international universities and joint research projects are carried out. 

- The faculty's English website and promotional materials are kept up to date.

MANAGEMENT SERVICES POLICY 

Objective: To spread a culture of quality throughout the organisation with a participatory, transparent, accountable and merit-based management approach; to support the professional and personal development of staff.

Scope: Decision-making processes, internal communication, human resources, performance management, physical and digital infrastructure.

Principles: 

- Transparency and accountability are fundamental in management; all decisions are made in consultation with relevant stakeholders. 

- The merit-based employment and career development of academic and administrative staff is supported. 

- Strengthening internal communication increases corporate loyalty. 

- The performance evaluation system (PI, HEP) is used effectively and the results guide improvements. 

- The physical and technological infrastructure is continuously improved to meet education and research needs. 

- A working environment that complies with occupational health and safety standards and is environmentally conscious is provided.
