- -All individuals who wish to learn Turkish may apply for HİTİT-TÖMER courses.
- -Individuals who have no prior knowledge of Turkish may begin the course at the A1 level without taking the Placement Test. Those who have previously studied Turkish must take the Placement Test before enrolling in a course. The date and time of the Placement Test are announced to the students by HİTİT-TÖMER.
- -Students who take the Placement Test are assigned to classes according to their proficiency levels. A class can be opened only when the minimum number of 10 students, as determined by the HİTİT-TÖMER administration, is reached.
- -Once the required number of students is reached, students begin their classes on the dates specified in the academic calendar.
- -The course registration fee must be paid before the course begins. Course fees are collected in U.S. dollars. No course fee can be collected after the course has started.
- -If a class cannot be opened for reasons attributable to TÖMER, the registration fee will be refunded upon request.
- -Submission of the required documents is a prerequisite for completing the TÖMER registration process. However, for online courses, these documents may be submitted digitally.
- -Class changes may be made, subject to availability, during the first week of the registered course level. Applications submitted after this period will not be accepted.
- -Students who register online or in person and pay the course fee but are unable to attend due to reasons such as being unable to obtain an entry visa or residence permit may participate in a later course, either online or face-to-face, for the level(s) they have paid for. However, except in cases of force majeure accepted by the Center, no refunds will be issued to students who enter Türkiye but fail to attend the course after it has started, who request a refund after receiving a course registration document before the course begins, or who attend the course only partially.
- -TÖMER courses continue except during official and religious holidays. Classes that coincide with official or religious holidays are made up within the same course period. Course hours cancelled due to reasons attributable to TÖMER will also be made up.
- -A class can be opened only when the minimum number of students determined by the TÖMER Board of Directors is reached. General Turkish Courses require a minimum of 10 students, Academic Turkish Courses require a minimum of 8 students, and Turkish Speaking and Writing Courses require a minimum of 10 students. The TÖMER administration has the authority to determine whether classes will continue or be closed and to make changes to class hours, classrooms, and instructors.
- -A Level-End Examination is administered at the end of each course level. Students who successfully pass the examination advance to the next level. Students who fail at the end of a level must pay the applicable fee again and repeat the same level in order to advance to the next level.
- -Students who successfully complete the C1 level receive a certificate approved and signed by the Rector and the Director of TÖMER. Students who successfully complete the other levels may receive a Certificate of Participation upon request.
- -Students are required to attend at least 80% of the classes. Students who exceed the permitted absence limit without a valid excuse are not allowed to take the Level-End Examination and are considered unsuccessful in that level. No refund is made for course fees corresponding to days or hours that the student does not attend.
- -Certificates issued by TÖMER are valid for two years from the date of issuance.
- -In accordance with the decisions of the Yunus Emre Institute and the University Board of Directors, documents obtained from institutions other than the universities specified in the relevant decisions are not accepted as valid documents for registration at HİTİT-TÖMER. In addition, only face-to-face examinations administered by the universities specified in the University Board of Directors' decision are accepted; online examinations are not accepted.
- -Students who register for courses at TÖMER are deemed to have accepted all of the practices, rules, and conditions stated above.
