At HİTİT-TÖMER, Turkish language courses are organized into three stages in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). These levels are Basic Language User (A1–A2), Independent Language User (B1–B2), and Proficient Language User (C1–C2).

Anyone who wishes to study at HİTİT-TÖMER and determine their Turkish language proficiency level takes the Placement Test administered by HİTİT-TÖMER. Language levels are determined according to the score ranges shown below:

Based on the Placement Test, which is scored out of 100 points, candidates are placed in the appropriate course according to their scores.
The total duration of Turkish language education for students starting from the basic level is at least 960 hours. The A1, A2, B1, and B2 courses consist of 168 lesson hours each, while the C1 course consists of 144 lesson hours. According to the course system, Turkish classes are held four days a week, six hours per day.

One lesson hour in Turkish language courses is 40 minutes.
At HİTİT-TÖMER, students are required to take a Level-End Examination at the end of each level they attend. Students who achieve a passing score of 60 or above in the Level-End Examination continue their Turkish language education at the next level.

Students who score below 60 on the Level-End Examination repeat the same level.
If a student notifies HİTİT-TÖMER in writing that they do not wish to continue their Turkish language education, they are issued a Turkish Language Level Certificate for the highest level they successfully completed with a score of 60 or above in the Level-End Examination.
Students who wish to enroll in associate, undergraduate, master's, or doctoral programs at Hitit University where the language of instruction is Turkish are required to have at least C1-level Turkish proficiency.
