Lateral transfer refers to the right of a student enrolled in a higher education institution to continue their education in another degree program at the same level. The main regulation regarding lateral transfer practices is the “Regulation on Transition Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions,” published in the Official Gazette No. 27561 on April 24, 2010.

In accordance with the provisions of this regulation, students may apply for internal or inter-institutional lateral transfers to our university’s higher education programs based on their GPA or centralized placement exam scores. For lateral transfers to be made in accordance with Article 1 of the Annex of the regulation, the principles determined in the Higher Education Executive Board meeting are applied.

Applications are submitted online. Students are fully responsible for any incorrect or false statements made during the application process. For grade conversions, the conversion tables determined by the Higher Education Executive Board are used. For applications from abroad, notarized translations of the documents must be submitted.
