Thesis-Based Master’s Program
The thesis-based master’s program consists of at least seven courses, one seminar course, and thesis work, totaling no fewer than 21 credits. The seminar course and thesis work are non-credit courses and are graded as either pass or fail. Each academic term in the thesis-based master’s program comprises at least 60 ECTS credits, including the seminar course. The program, including at least eight courses and thesis work, totals a minimum of 120 ECTS credits. Students must register for the thesis period every semester starting from the semester following the assignment of their advisor. Excluding the time spent in scientific preparation, the duration of the thesis-based master’s program is four semesters from the semester in which the courses are offered, regardless of whether the student registers for each semester. Non-Thesis Master’s Program
The non-thesis master’s program consists of at least ten courses and a term project course, totaling no fewer than 30 credits and 60 ECTS. Students must register for the term project course in the semester it is offered and submit a written project and/or report at the end of the semester. The term project course is non-credit and is evaluated as pass or fail.
Doctoral Program
The doctoral program for students admitted with a thesis-based master’s degree consists of at least seven courses, a seminar, a qualifying exam, a thesis proposal, and thesis work, totaling no fewer than 21 credits and at least 60 ECTS per academic term, for a minimum of 240 ECTS credits overall. For students admitted with a bachelor’s degree, the program includes at least fourteen courses totaling no fewer than 42 credits, plus a seminar, qualifying exam, thesis proposal, and thesis work, for a total of at least 300 ECTS credits. Excluding the time spent in scientific preparation, the doctoral program lasts eight semesters for students admitted with a thesis-based master’s degree, regardless of registration for each semester, with a maximum completion period of twelve semesters.
