Graduates of the program are expected to demonstrate the following competencies:

  1. Possess theoretical and conceptual knowledge of the fundamental principles, concepts, and approaches in public administration and related social sciences.

  2. Analyze and interpret the relationship between public administration, political science, law, and management disciplines from an interdisciplinary perspective.

  3. Plan and conduct advanced research on administrative structures, public policy, and governance processes using qualitative and quantitative methods.

  4. Collect, evaluate, and synthesize data related to public administration; prepare academic reports and research papers in line with scientific and ethical standards.

  5. Understand and apply managerial and administrative processes within public institutions, emphasizing efficiency, accountability, and ethical governance.

  6. Develop the ability to design, implement, and evaluate public policies that address societal needs and promote democratic and participatory administration.

  7. Interpret national and international developments in public administration and adapt theoretical knowledge to practical cases in the public sector.

  8. Integrate knowledge and skills acquired in public administration with other social science disciplines to generate innovative perspectives and solutions.

  9. Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills, assuming responsibility in professional or research-oriented contexts.

  10. Use information and communication technologies (ICTs) effectively for data management, public policy analysis, and academic research.

  11. Communicate effectively in Turkish and demonstrate adequate proficiency in English for academic and professional purposes.

  12. Exhibit awareness of ethical principles, social justice, and good governance, ensuring respect for human rights and democratic values in administrative practices.

  13. Pursue lifelong learning, continuously updating knowledge and skills in line with developments in public administration and related fields.
