“Be a Breath of Life for the Future for Healthy Tomorrows”; A Meaningful Awareness Movement from Social Sciences Vocational School Students

On May 21, 2026, students from the Social Sciences Vocational School, together with the Hitit University Sustainability, Social Responsibility and Professional Ethics Student Club, implemented an exemplary event creating social awareness within the scope of the “Social Responsibility and Professional Ethics” course.

The program, organized by student Dilberay UYSAL, was attended by university students, external participants who volunteered to support the project, and an expert speaker from Yeşilay, the most established and powerful representative of the fight against addiction. In the program, which proceeded in an interactive discussion format, the individual and social harms of tobacco products and other types of addiction, the acquisition of healthy lifestyle habits, and protective methods that can be developed against addiction processes were discussed with scientific data and field experiences.

In the conference, which was followed with interest by academic staff, university students, and external participants who volunteered to support the project, the questions of the participants were answered in detail after the speech given by the Yeşilay expert. This special event, where theoretical knowledge met the dynamism of young people and current awareness methods, went beyond being just an information meeting and gained the identity of a platform where healthy steps towards the future were taken.

It was stated that a clean air space and a free future free from addiction can only be achieved through decisive steps taken today. The organization emphasized that acquiring a sense of social responsibility at a young age is directly linked to professional ethics and civic responsibilities, and the importance of this strong collaboration with Yeşilay was once again highlighted.
